Pastured Pork

Why Pigs?

When we moved to our farm, we knew that we would need to bring in some serious livestock to help us reclaim and regenerate some seriously unmanaged, wild terrain. Pigs were the perfect crew for the job! They are a joy to raise, each having a unique (often delightfully quirky) personality. The pigs are always handled humanely (read: endless belly scratches) and moved to fresh pasture weekly, which ensures that they have a constant supply of fresh forage and carefully manages their impact on the landscape. If you come by and sit with them a while, you'll see them dutifully turning the soil with their snouts to uproot nutritious subterranean goodies. Roughly a quarter of their diet comes from the land, and they are supplemented with a top-quality non-GMO feed.
